President’s Message

Welcome to the Galt District Chamber of Commerce’s new website!

Galt is finally re-open for business! Wow, what a year 2020 has already been. With ups and downs and a quickly changing business environment, it’s been incredible to see our business community and residents come together to support our Great American Little Town. We all have faced challenges that no one was prepared for and the ever-changing climate really made us need to adapt quickly to be able to stay relevant.

The Galt District Chamber of Commerce understands that in order to have a strong economic environment you must have a strong community. We are truly blessed to have leaders, business owners, educators, and citizens who realize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and happiness within our community.

The Chamber has been a driving force in the local economy since the early 1900’s. As a non-profit organization, the Chamber is dedicated to serving our membership and connecting our members to the consumer community. Our membership is over 200 businesses strong and growing.

The Chamber has the absolute pleasure of celebrating with all our members! Whether that is a Ribbon Cutting for a new business or relocated business, anniversaries, Business of the Month, Business of the Year, our networking mixers or exciting events around town. I am most certainly looking forward to getting back to our celebrations and events. Our Ambassador program has been growing and playing a big role in making these events and celebrations possible. Check out our Ambassador  Program and find out how you and your team can be more involved.

Galt is located at the very southern part of Sacramento county. We may be a small, rural town, but we have a large community heart. Located right off Highway 99, with easy access to Sacramento and Stockton areas. We are surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Delta, vineyards and hundreds of country miles. Our downtown Galt area has gone through a facelift, with new businesses opening, including family attractions, a brewery and restaurants and a summer time Farmer’s Market at the Chamber Park Promenade area every Friday night. There are hundreds of homes being built all over the city, including condos, town homes and smaller single family homes. With growth brings new challenges and bright futures so we still can continue to be a truly Great American Little Town.

I want to thank you all for your support. I especially want to thank my Executive Board, Board of Directors, Ambassadors and Office Manager. I appreciate your efforts and countless volunteer hours in promoting our business community, strengthening community relationships and making our town a better place to live. Our success in achieving our mission and purpose is due to a collaborative effort from the Chamber Board of Directors, Chamber Ambassadors, City of Galt, Chamber members, and area professionals.

The Chamber invites you to call, click or stop by to learn more about the area and our member businesses. We encourage you to think local, shop local! By supporting the businesses in our directory, you are reinvesting in your community.
